Scientists have been using AI in space from 1998, though we might think that AI will soon replace human astronauts but that’s not the case. Mainly there are two problems with AI in space. One is the CPU power, it’s hard to build CPU for space that has more clocks/second and has more RAM. The reason behind this is the radiation. The second problem is reliability. AI is fantastic but there are chances, though slim, that things might go wrong.
